It would seem that the message of activist group Extinction Rebellion has struck a chord (yes, pun very much intended) with Pink Floyd co-founder, Roger Waters.
The 76-year-old progressive rocker has called on all of us to “change or die”. Waters says the tour will be part of a “global movement” to prevent the extinction of the human race.
Of course, one could question the logic of going on a 31 date tour of the US while calling for a reduction in the use of fossil fuels, but hey, who are we to question a rock god like Roger? Heck, it’s commendable that a guy in his position cares about something other than counting his fortune and putting his feet up.
In a nod towards the global movement Rogers claims to be part of, he has named his tour after the Extinction Rebellion handbook, ‘This is Not a Drill’.
